+Pool: A Floating Pool in the River For Everyone

+Pool
The Hudson River gets a bad rep by New Yorkers for being seedy and dirty. Designers, Dong Ping Wong, Archie le Coates IV, and Jeffrey Franklin, collaborated on the engineer project of the century --- a floating pool in the middle of the Hudson River. The pool would be in a plus shape, in ode to New York City being made up of intersections and grid systems. The +Pool's water would come from the Hudson River itself as the creators behind the idea have figured out a filtration system that would be worked into the interior of the pool. The innovative project called for $25,000 on the Kickstarter page. But as the NYC summers prove to be hotter, 1.2k backers all agreed to donate to the cause and +Pool raised $41,648. Now, the minds are working with community boards and design firms to make this concept a reality. We are crossing our fingers to see this project made into a reality. Unfortunately, the first $25k only paid for the "Filtration Layer", which is the essential textile that will filter the Hudson River water.
