The Sip

And Finally...The Sip!
Take a sip of your wine, but hold it in your mouth. You don't want to swallow right away. A part of tasting wine like a pro is knowing to roll the wine in your mouth before you swallow. You will be able to detect whether the wine is sweet, sour, salty, or bitter. There are other words to describe the mouth of the wine, or the sensation the wine has in your mouth, but sweet, sour, salty and bitter are four of the most common verbiage employed, and they easily mean exactly what they denote. Don't forget to also note the texture and other sensations like the wine's weight or body. Rosie Londoner Wine [Photo via]
