Maroon yourself in the Isabel (Solomon Islands)

Surfer’s secret and paradise, Isabel province, is home to Papatura - pretty much the only accommodation in the area. Check in here as your base to discover the beautiful locale, where you literally risk being blinded by how clear and blue the water is. If you’re not a surfer, you can snorkel the pristine waters that turtles, mantas, stingrays, dolphins - and many more - call home. When the day ends, enjoy the sunset at Papatura’s viewing deck or hammock, before heading to the “bar” for happy hour to meet other like-minded travelers!

Other things to do: For the non-risk averse, go saltwater crocodile spotting in the evening with the locals. It’s scary as hell, and pretty freaking dangerous so prepare for some Bear Grylls action.
