This is not to say that traveling isn't one of the greatest joys in life. Vacations are necessary, but that's just what they're meant to be - vacations. When you're alone in a new country or city, discovering something new, it's a brief suspension of reality meant to refresh and rejuvenate. Unless you're living in a Jim Jarmusch movie, life isn't meant to be a permanent vacation.
