Who: White House Correspondents Dinner
What: Hosted this year by Larry Wilmore, The White House Correspondents' Dinner also known as Nerd Prom is the annual dinner for the White House Correspondents' Association. The WHCA represents the White House press corps in its dealings with the administration on coverage-related issues. The WHCA dinner is traditionally attended by the President and the First Lady as well as other senior government officials and members of the press corps. Proceeds from the dinner go toward scholarships and awards aimed at supporting aspiring journalists and recognizing excellence in the profession.

How to Get In: Only White House Correspondents' Association members and their organizations are eligible to purchase tickets. (But don't worry, we'll have a round up of all the fun WHCD parties for you too.)
