Other details: On Friday night, an coterie and stylish crowd gathered at the independent bookstore, Politics & Prose, to catch fashion journalist and two-time selling author Dana Thomas on the promotional run of her new book "GODS AND KINGS: The Rise and Fall of Alexander McQueen and John Galliano". Dana Thomas stopped in her hometown of Washington, D.C. for the promotional tour of her second book tour. Upon her arrival, Thomas greeted guests with a warm welcome and soon afterward stood before the seated crowd and read excerpts from the sensational book. The reading was then followed by a Q&A series with the audience, where Thomas revealed sensitive and intimate details discovered about the two brilliant designers (Alexander McQueen and John Galliano) while researching for the book. After the flow of questions (and steady answers on Thomas' part) ended, Thomas signed copies of the hard-back book for the audience.
