Other details: On Saturday, June 28th, the inaugural VinoFest Wine and Music Festival took place at DC's Union Market! Presented by Vinolovers, a DC-based wine subscription start-up, VinoFestDC successfully brought together an incredibly vast selection of boutique Virginia and imported wines, local food vendors, and musical performances from emerging and established artists for a one-day festival experience. Festival attendees experienced a four -hour wine tasting from 2-6pm, where they were treated to a 8 2.0z-tasting pour and a glass of complementary sparkling wine as the entered the Union Market square. Vinofest music acts included Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation, Jesse Boykins III, See-I, Jetty, DJ Spinser Tracy, Clairy Browne And The Bangin’ Rackettes, Body Language, and Bonnie Rash. At the end of the day, proceeds from the entire music and wine festival will benefited Bike2TheBeach and Dreams for Kids DC charities. The festival, which began at 2pm on Saturday afternoon, lasted through the evening with performances ongoing until 10pm.
