Other details: On Thursday, September 18th, the community was invited to be a part of U Street’s hottest new spot, The Louis. The brand new luxury living complex celebrated it's grand opening with a swanky party on top of it's sleek, Miami inspired rooftop. Guests sported their best black + white outfit and enjoyed a relaxing evening including complimentary cocktails, a tour of The Louis’ amazing new units, a taste of some artisanal hors d’oeuvres courtesy of new restaurant, Tico, live music from DJ Heather Femia, and swag bags DC Cool! The evening soiree began around 8pm lasting until around 11pm. Guest danced and mingled under the glow of the large DC Cool video installation, while also taking in the chic modernness of the The Louis' venue combined with a breath taking view of U Street and DC landmarks, the Capitol building and Washington Monument in the glittering distance. The Louis’ “Dual Pool Party” was the perfect way to wind down the summer.
