Celine Bossart, Marched in DC

I exercise my right to protest because I refuse to sit idly while hate and bigotry are normalized in a Trump era. I march because I reject the idea that he was put in the White House as the result of a flawed, antiquated system. I took to Trump Tower in November and Washington DC on Saturday to send a message that basic human rights are not up for debate and that we will not allow this joke of a cabinet to cause history to repeat itself. And that as women, we will never allow anyone but ourselves to decide what will and can be done with our own bodies. And that above all, our progress as a nation cannot and will not be reversed.

We are making our voices heard through peaceful and productive protesting - an integral step in inciting change through activism - and collectively taking further action to solidify our movement and to ensure that love, justice, and equality always trump hate.
