Amanda S., Marched in NYC

I marched to remind those who would harm women and other minority communities that we are watching them, we're ready to fight, and we aren't going away. I marched to continue the fight for the revolutionaries who came before us, for my friends, for my immigrant parents who raised two strong women here, for the generations that will come after us. I marched to remind those who are scared and despairing that they're not alone, and that there's hope and support for them everywhere. I marched in solidarity with the POC and LGBTQIA communities that were fighting the fight long before many of us learned to pay attention.
