Details: On Friday, April 24, most high-tech party to celebrate technology and new media was held at DC's Carnegie Library.  The coveted New Media Party, hosted by Rep. Eric Swalwell, Adrian Fenty, and John Zimmer, returned as one of the premier events during White House Correspondents' Dinner Weekend. NMP is where distributors from the worlds of politics, Hollywood, technology and media, come to celebrate all things new. The event featured craft cocktails by mixologists Owen Thompson and Jason Strich, and special performances by Ghost Beach and DJ SYLO. Guest enjoyed several activities and fun fare including The NMP Audio Bar where attendees could enjoy cocktails paired with music, guests could generate 3D holograms of themselves and add their hologram to a live stream wall while also interacting with Facely, the interactive robot that made it's way through the party asking guests questions. In replace of gift bags, the Digital Gifting Wall allowed for guests to make their own choice of different digital giveaways while guests could also download their favorite tracks from the evening with the Content Globes, place all around the dance floors. new media [John Zimmer, Ryan Costello]
