Salon No. 10
The painfully hip Salon No. 10 continues to be a favorite for the artsy and social crowd to kick back at on the weekends. Though it is located a minute away from the tourist-heavy Wyndham Street and Lan Kwai Fong areas, Salon 10 is a world unto its own. The entrance is modeled after a submarine, while the interior is almost an ode to the '60s and '80s. Case in point: the vintage arm chairs that make up the lounge area, the slightly tired book shelves accented with knick knacks, and the floor-to-ceiling wall mural featuring ET touching a rose in what looks like a weird Garden of Eden. It is also worth pointing out that the bathrooms at Salon No. 10 are actual thrones. This outlandish eccentricity works for the place, and despite all the creative liberties they took with the decor, the food and drinks served are delicious classics.
