The Mission District, despite the gentrification monster whose shadow continues to loom heavier and heavier every day, boasts a vibrant culture that marks itself on public surfaces in the form of murals. In fact, this neighborhood has the highest concentration of murals in all of SanFrancisco. The non-profit Precita Eyes provides the behind-the-scenes organization by linking artists with requests for murals. This mural pictured is just one among the droves of incredible pieces you'll happen upon during a stroll through the district.
