Gingham Print
This print isn't just for picnic tables and summer dresses anymore. Gingham nails are a rising trend in 2013, and were spotted on the runway at the Kate Spade and Tracy Reese show. The look is an easy way to spice up a wardrobe and offers a fun chance to look ahead to springtime.
While gingham nails may seem like a hassle, they are pretty easy to do yourself. Deborah Lippmann, the nail artist behind the Kate Spade look, advises painting nails a solid color (like Amazing Grace, an opaque white) and placing thin layers of tape on each nail in a checker board fashion. Pick a fun color like a royal blue or bright orange to paint over the tape. Once you remove the strips, you'll have awesome, Kate Spade-esque nails in no time.
