6.In contrary to most famous retailers, Nordstrom has come out to support gay marriage. Nordstrom's President, Blake Nordstrom, announced in an e-mail to all employees that he believed that their gay and lesbian employees were entitled to the same rights and protections marriage provides to other employees. He pointed out that supporting gay rights will help make Nordstrom a more attractive workplace. [WWD]
