Bill Blass Fires Designer
8. Despite the $250,000 worth of fabrics used to create their spring 2013 collection, Bill Blass called off his runway show, and fired women's designer Jeffrey Monteiro. The company has clearly been on the rocks since May, when a consultant was brought in to review the business. Monteiro and his nine person team were told they were "free to go," and there has been no mention of severance packages. [Refinery29]
