M'ODA 'Operandi
For the fashionista who just can't wait for looks seen on the runways of Fashion Week to hit stores, there's Moda Operandi. The company founded by Aslaug Magnusdottir and Lauren Santo Domingo roughly a year ago provides virtual online trunkshows of hand-selected ready-to-wear items from the runways in a matter of days after they've been sent down the catwalk. Clients are able to place pre-orders for those items which they'll then receive between two to five months later, instead of waiting the standard six or so months for the collections to arrive at retailers.
