The fashion industry stirred up yet another controversy when Calvin Klein presented it's latest "Perfectly Fit" campaign with "plus size" model Myla Dalbesio. Supermodel supporters like Chrissy Teigen came to Myla's defense, supporting her (
"In Between") body when all the controversy began, and we're equally as excited that Myla's finally breaking the mold (and looks amazing doing it).
Calvin Klein released a statement to Elle following their coverage of the campaign, saying: "The Perfectly Fit line was created to celebrate and cater to the needs of different women, and these images are intended to communicate that our new line is more inclusive and available in several silhouettes in an extensive range of sizes," (

Meanwhile, Myla explained all the positive feedback she received from girls around the world, saying that they felt better about their own body shapes: "I love that as the conversation on the internet explodes and brings greater awareness, I am receiving emails from 15 year-old girls, telling me that I have given them hope and that sharing my story has made them feel less freakish, less weird, and that they can accept their size 8 or 10 frame...They didn't introduce this campaign for shock value, they simply included what some would refer to as a "normal size" girl in their advertising, right next to other girls of varying sizes and shapes," (

All in all, we love the campaign, no matter what the label, and we won't forget it this year and years to come.
