What has been called "The Premier Literary Event of the Hamptons" took place last Saturday, hosting more that 150 distinguished authors all under one roof tent to benefit the East Hampton Library.

Founded by Alec Baldwin, the board includes a roundtable of heavy-hitting authors like Candace Bushnell (of Sex and the City fame), Ken Auletta (New Yorker Magazine), Jay McInerney (who published his first book - Bright Lights, Big City - in 1985), famous biographer Robert Caro, and political science author and columnist Richard Reeves.  The evening commenced with a book signing reception under the tent on the Library grounds, where guests could meet the authors and have their books personally inscribed while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and wine on the gorgeous afternoon.

Of the many featured authors, big names like Alan Alda, Bryan Batt, Katie Lee, Hilary Thayer Hamann, A.M. Homes, Kati Marton, Helen Simonson, Beth Ostrosky Stern, and - of course what is an East Hampton event without a couple Real Housewives - Alex McCord and Jill Zarin.
