Eating With Eater

Saturday, we headed out to Amagansett for a barbeque at Casa del Eater. I'd always figured that food bloggers were better in the front of the house, but Ben Leventhal and his boys proved me wrong -8-hour smoked pork and grilled peaches wrong. Oh, and they even satisfied Rachelle's "feels like home" corn on the cob fetish. While we were unsuccessful in our attempts to tape the festivities, the party was total low-key perfection, filled with interesting people (bloggers, bankers, yogis, VJs, psychologists), great music (the National and Digable Planets), and seriously good food.

We were really disappointed that we missed the beachy bonfire, even more so when Ben told us about the s'mores with chocolate covered graham crackers....way to rub it in! Alas, duties call, and we had to go get the scoop for you guys for our Tag-Team Summer report. We also got the dirt on the recently adopted Gridskipper, and what's growing on Curbed's sidewalks (Not that we're going to spill -loose lips sink ships, and these look promising). Stay tuned for gofg's exclusive interview with Leventhal himself...
