It was a retro-chic Saturday afternoon at Navy Beach for their French Riviera Themed Le Swimsuit Beach and Boat Party. Attendees arrived by car, boat and seaplane to take advantage of a sunny afternoon, which of course ended with a stellar sunset.
DJ Sammy and local reggae staple Winston Irie produced the soundtrack of the afternoon, where attendees enjoyed signature cocktails include the Monaco, The Lillet Blanc Apéritif, the Rosé et Reims, the Aperol Spritz and of course the Saintgria Rosa. This was all in addition to bottles of Breezette Rosé, magnums of St. Tropez'x Cep d'Or and mini bottles of Chandon's Limited Edition Brut Classics that were flowing freely by the beach and in the restaurant.
Obviously there were other activities to enjoy other than recreational drinking! Calypso St. Barth set up a pop-up shop with a collection of beach ready gear and accessories for all summer long. A 1950's-style swimsuit contest seemed to be the highlight of the afternoon, with pin-up style girls right and left. The contest was judged by local photographer James Katsipis, and the winner walked away with a gift certificate for two at the Navy Beach restaurant, complete with a chef's tasting menu and topped off with a bottle of champagne.
