Think you've never heard of Rumba Time? Think again! You've seen these cool, stylish watches on the wrists of many; from A-list celebs to your little sister's best friends, and the founders held a trunk show in Montauk last Saturday at Buenos Dias Surf Garage.
Buenos Dias Surf Garage, an ultra-cool, laid back vintage shop right off of Montauk Highway and a block from the beach was the venue for the event, which had an amazing turnout.
Co-founders Drew Deters and Joe Anto brought an assortment of their watch lines to the Hamptons, including the Broadway, Vandam, Greenwich, and Mercer Collections. Currently the watches are sold in over 100 retailers and range from $15 to $175.
Grey Goose cocktails were served as customers browsed the shop and the timepieces. Deters and Anto were excited about the event and are eager to show the public their plans for the future, which I can assure you, are genius.
The show exuded a very chilled out and relaxing surfer vibe (perhaps because pro surfer Alex Knost was in attendance), the refreshing kind of charm of old Montauk that people think has diminished recently -- but it hasn't gone away, it just went to Buenos Dias. Everyone was stoked about having a good time, or in this case, a Rumba Time!
