The Gail Schoentag Gallery in Sag Harbor presented "Limits and Desperate" on Saturday evening. The event, hosted by Social Life Magazine, unveiled the work of eight internationally acclaimed artists. The reception, which also served as a kickoff party for the upcoming American Cancer Society’s Festive in Flip Flops benefit, brought out over 300 art lovers. Guests enjoyed featured works by artists Eric Decastro, Anke Röhrscheid and Josef Schoeffmann, photography and videos curated by Professor Ludwig Seyfarth. Artwork by Nathalie Grenzhaeuser, Florian Heinke, Clare Langan and Bjørn Melhus/Yves Netzhammer was also shown. Sharon Bush, Jonathan Goldberg, Sherri Abruzzese, Joshua Johnson, Brian Farrell, Dr. Laura Torrado and Elaine Sargent enjoyed the indoor and outdoor gallery space over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while saxophonist Morris Goldberg and guitarist Tom DePetris performed live jazz. The “Limits and Desperate” exhibition will be on display at the gallery until September 20, 2011.
