LongHouse Reserve's 2015 Summer Benefit
LongHouse Reserve's 2015 Summer Benefit
When: Sat, July 18,6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Where: LongHouse Reserve, 133 Hands Creek Road, East Hampton, New York
Why: LongHouse Reserve will host its 2015 Summer Benefit, On Gossamer Wings. The gala will celebrate the foundation’s 24th season and honor internationally acclaimed artist and sculptor Kiki Smith with the LongHouse Award. Her serene bronze assemblage, Women and Sheep, is one of the newest additions to the LongHouse's 16-acre outdoor art exhibition. Guests will be enchanted and entertained by John Houshmand and his art band Soundwall playing self-styled instruments cum abstracts; an illusion-artist Joshua Jay who will transport party-goers into a never-never land of "How Did He Do That?!"; and The Brooklyn Peaches—who wowed guests last year in their imitative Cindy Sherman bathing suits and enthralling synchronized lap pool routines—will instead permeate the air with a new kind of fantasy. The stylish and inimitable DJ Donna d’Cruz will invite guests to join her Silent Dessert & Dance Party. The Silent Auction bidding will stay open later this year.
