You're somewhat of a cross-over artist
You're somewhat of a cross-over artist. If you had to choose (or invent) the genre that best describes the music you make, what would it be?
I've always been pushing the whole thing like...when I was a teenager I got a hold of Joy Division and the Smiths and I got a hold of Marvin Gaye, and I got a hold of all these new wave artists like John Mouse and R Stevie Moore who were different hybrids of inspiration making something new. So I'm definitely in the new wave.

I don't really want to call it chill wave because a lot of my music is not too chill--it's energetic, it's kind of happy. But it's just new wave, maybe new wave soul, not in a neo or r&b way, like new wave soul in a new electric iconic type of way. It's like energy. It's like souls, electric, the feeling, the mood has to hit me at the right time to make what I have to make. It's on the cusp, it's special, it has to come quick.
