New York City's Oak, known for a more urban look, is trying out a fresher, beachier mood this summer by opening up a pop-up shop at the Pines. The pop-up will carry Oak's usual array of Acne, Rick Owens, and Alexander Wang, along with gifts like candles and beach towels.
"I think people will actually be slightly surprised at how we do the Pines," says co-owner Louis Terline. "I don’t think it’s as antithetical to our ethos as everyone thinks it is."
We'll see if the city-slickers the boutique usually caters to embrace Oak's island style. The Oak pop-up plans to open in May and stay through September. [Racked]
Oak's blog has already started having a sunnier look, showing off Soludos.
Their spring mood board, however, is still looking very urban.
