smelling like heaven,
Talkhouse also hosts intimate shows on its
fabled stage. Their artists tend to skew towards your parents' college favorites, but there's a good mix of music that attracts both young and old.
Who to see:
Randomly enough,
Aaron Carter kicks off the season with a show on May 28. If you like a folksy, bluesy sound, check out
Jorma Kaukonen (of
Jefferson Airplane and
Hot Tuna fame) on June 2. If you're a fan of the ivories, don't miss
Leon Russell July 19, and come back to get your reggae on with two nights of
Toots and the Maytals August 30 and 31.
Finally, keep an eye on the schedule - we're hoping that perennial favorite
Southside Johnny will return, and
Bon Jovi has been known to
jump in on his sets.
