Other details: On Sunday, Donna Karan, fashion designer and founder of Artists for Peace and Justice, hosted the first Hamptons Summer Carnival, along with James Franco, Karen Elson, Paul Haggis, and Calvin Klein. The event celebrated Haiti and raised nearly $250,000 in student scholarships to support the efforts of Artists for Peace and Justice. The non-profit organization serves the poor in Haiti with educational, healthcare, and developmental programs. Haitian DJ Michael Brun provided music for the evening, which featured cocktails, a dinner, and a live auction.
