Details: Saturday night, Sole East hotel in Montauk hosted a fundraiser BBQ, catered by the Backyard Restaurant to benefit "Waves for Water," a humanitarian aid organization founded by former professional surfer Jon Rose, focused on providing comprehensive disaster relief programs and access to clean water in communities in need around the world. Complimentary beer was served, courtesy of Brooklyn Brewery. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Waves For Water's Hurricane Sandy Relief Initiative.
After sundown, there was a special outdoor screening of surf films, curated by SMASH Productions, featuring:
