Drink: Ophelia
A whimsical take on what an opium den would be like in a Tim Burton film, Ophelia is a swanky bar that recently opened in the Wanchai district of Hong Kong, close to where the main Art Basel exhibition is located. This creatively designed bar is every Instagrammer's dream, with eccentric touches of peacock scattered all over the place, and tastefully curated knick knacks that enhance the whole opium-den-meets-your-every-fantasy vibe. Waitresses are dressed in a modernized, functional version of the Chinese cheungsham, all the more exciting when they serve you an inspired drink - all of which are created to reflect the Ophelia world. This place is often packed to the brim, so booking a table is highly recommended.
