Some have argued that the reason Williamsburg has become a safe, gentrified neighborhood is due to the influx of hipsters in recent years. What was once an extremely dilapidated and dangerous neighborhood is now sprawling with young, cultured people. Today there are countless bars, music venues, and restaurants lining the streets (most of which can be seen packed with hipsters both day and night).
