Late July and early August mean muggy, blistering weather, men on horsies and the society elite who don't even pretend to watch them, a gazillion benefits, and summer sales. That's right; 'tis the season for unloading all spring/summer collections to make way for fall/winter. I don't know about you, but I always prefer this sale season to the one in January - the fall collections may be more striking, but the spring's are prettier, and often more transitional.
