Matt Lifson: HIDDEN TRACKS
In Matt Lifson's exhibit, HIDDEN TRACKS, he explores how people receive information through pictures and objects. In his Tent series, such as the one featured above, Lifson uses the lighting to create a sense of storytelling. Is it an alien abduction? Is it a helicopter's search light? A gravesite? Lifson's paintings, installations, and sculptures cause the viewer to break away from the origin of the story to form their own, like an allegory for escape. See what kinds of creative stories you can make in HIDDEN TRACKS at the opening reception this Saturday at the Angles Gallery. Opening reception: Saturday, November 2, 2013 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) November 2, 2013 - December 21, 2013 Angles Gallery 2754 S. La Cienega Blvd. Los Angeles, California, 90034 [Photo via]
