Linder: Solo Exhibit
Rows of vintage images of women's naked bodies, covered with snippets of flowers, pies, and cookies are illuminated in a dark room. A variety of mixed media ranging from photography to collages, English artist Linder selects commercialized and sexualized images of women to openly criticize traditional female roles in her solo exhibition. If you're a female, would you be uncomfortable viewing her work? You should be. Behind Linder's collage work are real women.
Linder is holding her first Los Angeles exhibit at Blum and Poe. You have until October 26th to see her work and perhaps gain a new perspective.
