4. The Artists
While nightclubs may once have held some advantage in booking the top notch talent, that's also clearly no longer the case, given that Encore Beach Club's big weekend included many of the top venue headliners playing separate nighttime shows, including Deadmau5 and Calvin Harris. It kind of makes you think that Coachella should just be held at a giant pool next year. Sure, a few less people will be able to come, and Alicia Silverstone might not be able to bring her 1-year-old, but I think we can all live with that, right? Do you guys think that's why Goldenvoice bought up all that land around the Empire Polo Club? To build the world's biggest pool-party pool? Until we hear otherwise, I'm going with that.
