"Best $2k I Ever Spent!" Haunted Heats Halloween Costume Surf Contest

For a recreational activity that almost everybody is utterly terrible at, surfing has truly captured California's imagination. In fact, I'd say the ratio of competent surfers to complete movies about surfing is no more than a healthy 3:1. And while that means we end up with a Blue Crush for every Point Break, it's also how we end up with things like the hilarious Haunted Heats Halloween Costume Surf Contest. Luckily, LA Weekly was there with a camera so we can all enjoy.
