Like most Americans, you were probably fairly confused by the commercials for
Act Of Valor that ran during the Super Bowl. Apparently,
Act Of Valor is a scripted film, starring some actors but also featuring real active-duty Navy SEALs. Though the film was originally conceived as a regular action movie about Navy SEALs, the filmmakers (who had unprecedented access to the SEALs due to having previously made several training and documentary films for the Navy) decided early into filming that soft, pasty actors could never live up to the badassery of real-life action stars. Besides, it's not like they could be that much worse at acting than Sam Worthington, right?
