Last night, the weekly Dim Mak Tuesdays party at Cinespace played host to an after party for Maximum Balloon's album release event and featured DJ sets by the guest of honor and MC stylings of Theophilus London. For the new side project of TV on the Radio's David Andrew Sitek, he collaborates with top music vocalists such as Karen O, David Byrne and of course Theophilus on Maximum Balloon's self-titled debut album, whose highly anticipated release called for such a party. Although the Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman and Talking Heads member were no-shows, Theophilus was there show Sitek how to get down Dim Mak style.  Although expressed by the midnight revelers in different way, the excitement in the air for the night's event was palpable...

Some wore their emotions on their sleeve, unafraid to let the world see just how amped they were for the night.

Others put up a front so as not to blow their calm, cool cover even though they were bursting with genuine delight inside. So L.A....

Some preferred to express their joy by a less traditional means through body movement and interpretive dance. It's quite effective.
