Since the Petco show was the first stop in Skrillex's major venue headlining tour, it also saw the debut of the
Lawnmower Man-style virtual dude you see on the big screen. His name is "Illgamesh," which I fear somebody thinks is really clever, and he is animated by motion control sensors that Skrillex wears while performing. The idea is that the crowd can watch the DJ's hands, although without being able to see the equipment he's manipulating, I suspect it looks more like a very complicated sexual maneuver that probably originated in Austria or Thailand or somewhere.
