San Francisco is undoubtedly a beloved American city. Most East Coasters call it their favorite place on the West Coast, and anybody you meet from S.F. will happily fill an hour or two bragging about their favorite sustainable Asian fusion and weed brownie delivery service that "you just couldn't find anywhere else."

Naturally, those of us from L.A. can occasionally get bitter about all the praise, especially since every time we take a trip up there we either get robbed or get to watch some high-quality public defecation. But when something like the Treasure Island Music Festival goes down, putting out a weekend of phenomenal indie, electronic, rock and hip-hop music with jaw-dropping views and a crazy carnival atmosphere, we've got to give credit where it's due.
