Basically, live music at the racetrack combines two awesome outdoor summer activities, sports and music, for a fraction of what it costs to either go to any other live sporting event and/or check out a show at the Hollywood Bowl or Greek. The only limiting factor in the past has been the quality of the bands themselves. But with Devo opening the summer series and bands you've actually heard of like Michael Franti & Spearhead, Jimmy Cliff, G. Love & Special Sauce and The Wailers (not to mention a reunited Jesus & Mary Chain) scheduled in the next two months, it's kind of hard to take shots at an idea this simple and this well executed.
