Two Gallants
For the wholly uninitiated, FYF Fest traces its origins to Sean Carlson, a young music promoter who put together the very first "Fuck Yeah Fest!" (as it was then known) at The Echo when he was only 18, in 2004. From there on, the festival has exploded outwards, outgrowing the venue (it moved to the State Historic Park in 2009), the profanity (the move and increased outside interest influenced them to change the name officially to FYF Fest), and even the format, as this year's involvement of mega-promoters Goldenvoice meant there was simply too many performers to be contained to a single day.
