Slide #3
The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart
What ensures that the spirit of FYF Fest stays alive through name and venue alterations, size increases, and added sponsorships is the guiding vision of Sean Carlson, who insists that the added notoriety and pull be used to keep the true fans in attendance by only booking big name guests who make sense for the festival's aesthetic and attitude, keeping ticket prices demonstrably lower than those of competing festivals and keeping secondary costs (you have to drive to Coachella and get a campsite and/or hotel, you can take the train to FYF Fest) low. Instead of overpaying for Radiohead to squeal out a lackluster live set, the extra money is used to book more great groups, like NYC's The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart.
