Slide #1
With the success of big budget, live-action movies like Harry Potter and The Hobbit telling their stories across a series of films, the animated film industry is following suit. With that, the creators of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, the animated feature based on the classic superhero comic book, separated their adaptation of the 1986 graphic novel into two parts. The anticipated followup to last year's Part 1 installment, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part 2, debuted Monday night at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills with a special screening followed by a Q&A with the cast and crew.
The film's stars Peter Weller (Batman) of "Dexter" and Robocop and "Modern Family's" Ariel Winter (Robin) came out for the premiere event and were on hand to answer questions in the Q&A panel discussion following the screening moderated by leading comic book expert Kevin Smith. Guests also had the opportunity to pick the brains of Batman veterans like executive producer Bruce Timm, director Jay Oliva, writer Bob Goodman and eight-time Emmy Award winning dialogue/casting director Andrea Romano during the Q&A.
