Slide #1

In the case of the group show now on display at M+B in West Hollywood, 'apparatus' refers to something made of parts working together to perform a function, such as the human form. As the unifying theme of Apparatus, the collection of works curated by Tim Barber all deal in some way with the human form. Artists represented in the exhibition include Ryan McGinley, Shayne Ehman, Jeanette Hayes, Aurel Schmidt, Deanna Templeton and Ed Templeton among others. For its opening reception on Thursday evening, guests including Ed Templeton, Aurel Schmidt, Benjamin Trigano, Andre Saraiva, and Tim Barber mingled throughout the gallery and outside patio, perusing the eclectic mix of pieces such as a Sailor Moon portrait and installations over wine and refreshments. Apparatus will be on view through August 31st so make sure to stop by M+B before then to see the works in person. In the meantime, enjoy our photos from the opening reception.
