Slide #1
The band first grabbed our attention with their debut self-titled album back in 2009, both a critical and commercial success that is widely regarded as the moody soundtrack to a make-out. But for their second full-length album slated for a September release, Smith, The xx producer, cites "club music" as their inspiration. If club music is what he fancies, he certainly came to the right place last night by celebrating the upcoming album at Drai's with Dim Mak Sundays. Backing him up behind the the turntables were Jacques Greene and Goddollars who made sure to keep the steady supply of jams flowing for the crowd of young Sunday night revelers packing the venue.
Hopefully last night's Dim Mak Sundays party brought Jamie xx the club-ness he so yearns for because it certainly did the trick for the guests who turned out.
