The Pretty Reckless at House of Blues Sunset Strip
"Gossip Girl" star Taylor Momsen is in a band. Before you start rolling your eyes, however, bear with me a moment: they're actually pretty good, delivering heavy, bluesy rock with an attitude. Momsen brings stage presence and a legit snarl to her duties as frontwoman, and she's written some catchy, authentic tunes to go with it. In other words, on the sliding scale of celebrity vanity music projects, she's far closer to relatively well-received on their own merit acts like Zooey Deschanel or Childish Gambino than she is to self-indulgent tripe like Paris Hilton rambling about drunk texts.
