While many were out enjoying intimate dinner dates, a crowd of Angelenos decked in their 1980s finest stepped out to DTLA's SPiN Standard on Friday night ready to party. The Standard Downtown's super hip ping pong club changed up the traditional Hallmark holiday customs by inviting all to spend the evening at their Valentine's 80s Prom hosted by Calpernia Addams. With nearly everyone in attendance taking the strongly suggested 80s dress code very seriously, guests enjoyed endless drinks, DJ sets and live music from The Cars cover band Candy-O. And because no prom would be complete without a king and queen, two guests boasting the best 80s costumes of the night were crowned and each awarded with a one-night stay at the hotel.
