What better way to finish off July than with live outdoor performances? Music lovers in the L.A. area did just that on Saturday at the Los Angeles Chapter Grammy Block Party.

The Recording Academy is the group responsible for the Grammy Awards, so it's safe to say they know their music. Their first ever block party featured live performances by AkaCassidy, Charice, La Santa Cecilia, Chuck Wicks, and the Grammy Award winning Raphael Saadiq.

Recording Academy members and music lovers enjoyed the shows in the cool outdoor setting at the Recording Academy headquarters in Santa Monica. We're huge fans of live concerts during beautiful summer days and nights, especially if proceeds go to a good cause like this one.

The block party raised money for the MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief Fund, helping musicians effected by the severe floods in Nashville. Guests enjoyed the pop tunes, R&B melodies, latin beats, and especially loved Chuck Wicks' and his country music, repping Nashville pride to the fullest.
