Trudy Campbell (Alison Brie)
Trudy's pathological need to maintain her family's high society standards will really be put to the test this season as it's revealed that Pete used his savings from last season to neither put a down payment on a house nor to prop up the firm, but rather to buy a 25-foot speedboat, which he names "Norma Rae". Desperate for cash and furious at her husband, Trudy and her young child become a mother-daughter pirate team, taking the boat out at night to rob Fire Island vacationers. In the season finale, caught red-handed by the Coast Guard, Trudy rams the boat at full speed into a Coast Guard flotilla, causing a massive fireball of an explosion. In actuality, the producers were writing Alison Brie off the show so that she could fulfill the multi-season, big budget commitment that NBC made to "Community."
